Hi. I am Ann Bartscher, RN, the School Nurse at Hanson School in Alexandria, SD. I have been the nurse at this school since 1997. I graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD in 1989 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Since that time I have been employed as a Registered Nurse at Sioux Valley Hospital (now Sanford Hospital) in the Pediatrics Department; a Pediatric Home Health Care Nurse in North Carolina; and now as a School Nurse. I am married and have 3 children. I enjoy being outdoors doing yard work and gardening. I also enjoy being with my family and taking vacations to new places whenever we get the chance. The things I love most about being a school nurse are: working in an educational setting, working with individual families, and most of all....the great kids at school!
